Kate accompanied me to Rwanda to cover the 20th anniversary of the genocide for Channel 10’s The Project. Her technical and journalistic skills impressed me and the report that went to air was one of the most powerful I have seen. But more than that, I saw a woman with deep empathy who opened herself up to the people we interviewed. This went way beyond completing a professional task. I hold her in the highest regard.
